Well, guys… it’s my last OwlCrate. I truly appreciate my girlfriend for getting me 3 boxes this year and I can’t wait for her birthday present to arrive so she’ll know how I feel — I got her August’s LootCrate! She’s really excited for it because it’s got stuff inspired by Zelda, Lord of the Rings, and Adventure Time. It should been here soon ☺️ And I feel safe posting about it here because she doesn’t read my blog 😛
So! Back on topic. For my last OwlCrate, the theme was… Drum roll, please…
Something Wicked This Way Comes

Looks cool, right? Well, it is!! I’m glad my subscription could end on such a positive note. Check out all the goodies:
🌙 A stunning double-sided bookmark inspired by Six of Crows, straight from Treehouse of Books. Really makes me want to finally read the book!

🌙 Usually, OwlCrate sends exclusive tea blends in their boxes, which is nice because my girlfriend loves tea, but no-so-nice because I do not. This month, though, I received a coffee sampler and I’m super excited! It’s called Dark Arts Roast, inspired by He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named from Harry Potter. It’s got an orange, almond and dark chocolate flavor, and I must admit I’ve already broken into it for a cup this morning! So did my girlfriend. We both loved it! This amazing coffee came from Happenstance Coffee. Their website just went up today and if you use the code OWLCRATE you can get free shipping!
🌙 An eye-popping sticker inspired by This Savage Song, from the one and only Evie Bookish.
🌙 A fun fountain ink pen from Ooly! Mine has purple ink (and 2 extra cartridges), but I saw other people got black, which is cool! It’ll go great with my cute pocket journal from Ooly that I got in last month’s box!

🌙 Probably THE BEST thing I’ve EVER received in an OwlCrate box: Poe-ka dot socks from Out of Print!! They’re literally just socks with Edgar Allan Poe’s face all over them!!! I’m so happy I literally may explode. If anyone ever wants me to fall in love with them, just buy me a pair of literary socks… I’ll most likely just fall in love with the socks, though. ❤️
🌙 A gorgeous copy of Sleepy Hollow & Other Short Stories from Washington Irving! I am absolutely in love with it and cannot wait to read it. I studied Irving quite a bit in college and enjoy his work, and I’m super pumped that Rock Paper Books teamed up with OwlCrate once again for this month’s box. It’s so beautiful I could cry…
🌙 And the book of month, of course: The Hearts We Sold by Emily Lloyd-Jones, a story about demons, deals, and a divine romance. It came with, as always, a signed bookplate and a letter from the author herself, as well as a cute lapel pin that reads “I chose this.” A quote from the book, I assume, which I’m excited to read! Sounds interesting, for sure.

Overall, a fantastic box that you all need to subscribe to immediately. Hopefully I’ll get a job soon and can afford this again in the future! Even though I won’t be getting it, here’s a sneak peak at next month’s theme:

This box will feature an exclusive book sleeve from Book Beau! I’m really jealous about this, guys… I want one.
So that’s it from me! Hope you all had a great summer and, as always, happy reading!
Super cool. I didn’t know this subscription box existed.. and the fact that next month’s box is all about mystical creatures makes me really excited. Great post!

Reading unboxings always makes me anticipate my FairyLoot that much more, haha.
[And now I remember that I should not look up any unboxings starting Wednesday since they’re shipping then and I hate getting spoiled. :’)]
Yay for your awesome girlfriend to give you a subscription! My boyfriend would never do that “since I already have way too many books”. He obviously doesn’t realize you can never have too many, but hey. He’ll figure it out someday.
Have fun with your box! [And the socks. I love myself some literary socks as well.]

I’ve always wanted to try FairyLoot!! It looks amazing. I hope you enjoy yours when it comes in the mail 🙂
Yes, my girlfriend was an English minor so though she doesn’t like YA, she likes books in general lol. I hope your boyfriend figures it out!

It really is! Too bad they’re shipping late this month. Chances are I won’t get my box before I leave on holiday, boo. Haha.
At least she likes books! My boyfriend doesn’t, haha. “Just give me my pc and Netflix and I’m all set” is his answer when I tell him why he doesn’t read. :’)

Same here! Even though I sometimes wish I could squeeze in some hours of Netflix but.. well, books are more fun, haha.
